March 20, 2017 Country representatives from the wider Caribbean Region met in Cayenne, French Guiana from 15-17 March 2017 for the Seventeenth Intergovernmental Meeting (IGM) of the Action Plan for the Caribbean Environment Programme and Fourteenth Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection and Development of the Marine Environment of the wider Caribbean Region (“Cartagena Convention”). Joint workshop with Brazilian government
February 13, 2017 – On 6 and 7 February 2017, representatives of the Brazilian Ministries of Environment, Foreign Affairs, Fisheries and other members of the Brazilian Inter-ministerial Commission for Sea Resources (CIRM) welcomed the Regional Coordinator of the UNDP/GEF CLME+ Project, Mr. Patrick Debels, and the Coordinator of the UN Environment’s Caribbean Environment Programme (Cartagena Convention), Dr. Lorna Inniss, in Brasilia, Brazil, for a 2-day joint workshop.
