Abstract: An important component of International Waters projects of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) is a transboundary diagnostic analysis (TDA), which is an objective, non-negotiated assessment using best available verified scientific information to examine the state of the environment and the root causes for its degradation. This current report presents the TDAs for the CLME reef and pelagic fisheries ecosystems. These TDAs were elaborated on the basis of the previous sub-regional thematic reports for the Insular Caribbean and Central/South America as well as on additional data and information.
